About The Position

The Lead Financial Analyst will turn financial data into insights that influence business decisions, resource allocation, and long-term performance within the Sage Business Unit. The role partners with functional leaders to strengthen financial planning, forecasting, and performance management while improving the scalability and effectiveness of FP&A processes.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work 1–2 days per week in Cary, Illinois, or Portage, Michigan, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. Travel is 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in FP&A, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, financial analysis, business finance, or a related finance function.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data using Microsoft Excel, including complex financial models and multidimensional datasets.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience in FP&A within a large, publicly traded organization.
• Familiarity with SG&A management, consolidated planning, and capital allocation.
• Experience with enterprise planning systems such as SAP, Hyperion, or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Shared Services, to provide actionable insights that influence strategic priorities and capital allocation.
• Analyze expense budgets, including SG&A and centralized functions, to identify cost optimization opportunities and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes to align financial targets with organizational strategy.
• Develop and implement KPIs, dashboards, and trend analyses to monitor business performance and drive accountability across teams.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in FP&A operations, including automation and system optimization projects.
