About The Position

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join their team. This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays, and a company vehicle is provided. Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division delivers uninterrupted power solutions, including advanced UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution solutions. As a Field Service Electronics Technician, you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability for customers in mission-critical facilities and complex energy management challenges.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience.
Must possess a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings.
Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience.
Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics.
Electrical Technology Certificate.
Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure peak performance and reliability of power systems.
Partner with customers as trusted advisors, delivering innovative solutions and technical expertise.
Safeguard operations and maximize uptime.
Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle.
Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.
Perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.
Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, taking direction from on-site leads.
