The Opportunity: Are you an expert in technical problem-solving with a passion for mentoring? We're looking for a Lead Field Engineer Specialist to be a critical resource for our team and customers in California/Nevada. This is a self-supervised role where you'll use your expert-level technical skills to resolve complex issues and improve efficiency. Act as the go-to subject matter expert for our products, providing high-level support for installation, maintenance, and repair. Lead the development of training and mentorship plans for new hires and junior engineers. Use your independent judgment to analyze regional and customer needs, proactively solving complex problems before, during, and after the installation process. Serve as a leader in managing escalations and guiding the local team through critical technical issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Provide strategic leadership and direction to your team, referring only the most complex issues to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • An associate’s degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Medical Technology or related field or equivalent military training is required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 4+ years/Master’s degree in Management, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 2+ years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
  • Prior experience in coaching/mentoring junior level staff
  • Prior leadership or lead worker experience and proven success in overseeing and guiding a work team’s functional activities
