About The Position

All resources and logistics required to perform oversight, services and repair activities on GVH vendor’s, and customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, replace, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. Reports to the Product Line Manager, Steam Separation & Services for fleet wide modifications of the respective vessel internals systems, and plant piping, BOP, etc. Support Plant Modifications & Services (PM&S) Project Managers to develop, manufacture, test, and install field modifications at US, and International Nuclear facilities. The Lead Field Engineer will provide support in areas such as, but not limited to; Project Planning, Project Scheduling, Drawing Reviews, Customer interaction, Vendor Oversight (manufacturing, testing, etc.), Tooling assembly & Qualification, On-site technical directions for installation of nuclear components or repairs, Lessons Learned development and team training.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college/university OR 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time in both the US and International capacity.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to Nuclear Plants
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to rapidly identify problems and contribute to prompt resolution
  • Technical writing background is a plus.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to authorize access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of; reactor modification equipment manufacturing, and installation.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
