About The Position

Automated Logic, a Carrier company, is hiring a Lead Field Engineer to take primary technical ownership of turnkey building automation project delivery. The role is intended for an experienced technical professional who can navigate complex system architectures, lead and mentor field staff, and advise customers. It requires proficiency with Automated Logic (ALC) products and/or building automation systems, and flexibility to travel as project priorities shift. The Lead Field Engineer owns installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and delivery of complete DDC software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms. The role coordinates with project managers and other teams to manage risk, maintain communication, and ensure reliable delivery. It also includes documenting commissioning and project progress, applying ALC system expertise and ASHRAE guidelines, and delivering safe, high-performance systems in complex customer environments. The position involves physical field work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, squatting, climbing, working more than eight feet above grade, and using ladders and motorized lift equipment. The annual salary range is $64,500–$129,500. The position may also be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 4 years of professional experience in building automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
Valid, current driver’s license and insurability by the company’s insurance carrier.
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
Ability to work more than 8 feet above grade and proficiency using ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

Own the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems.
