Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of: HVAC controls, Electrical systems, Refrigeration cycles, Variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or trade school training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repair complex HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Install, test, and commission HVAC equipment, including: Chillers, Boilers, Air handling units (AHUs), Rooftop units (RTUs), Variable air volume (VAV) systems, Cooling towers, Pumps and motors, Split systems and VRF systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
  • Work with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and energy management systems.
  • Perform refrigerant recovery and charging in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend operational improvements.
  • Coordinate major repairs and equipment replacements with contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, local codes, and company safety standards.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Participate in emergency response and after-hours support as required.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and system upgrades.
