WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): Develop and implement initiatives to increase access, use, and effectiveness of Fleet and Facilities programs and services. Advance Fleet and Facilities services to meet established goals and objectives. Act as a Fleet and Facilities services subject matter expert (SME) to staff, management, volunteers and external partners. May manage a vehicle fleet and ensure that all vehicles are up to date on their recommended maintenance. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. This role is not eligible for relocation. This role reports to the Seattle, WA chapter office all 5 days a week. Travel across the region is expected. The salary range for this position is ( Washington State ): $ 80,168.40/yr Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to develop project plans and budgets.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service.
  • Maintain confidentiality to work ethically and with integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to create presentations and training modules.
  • Applicable local licensure if required by state directives.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
  • May be required to travel.
  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support in the execution of fleet and facilities management within a region.
  • Develop and execute facilities maintenance for American Red Cross facilities.
  • Develop and execute strategy for the American Red Cross fleet that includes preventative and corrective maintenance, fleet reporting and analysis, and the support process around vehicle reservations.
  • Develop and implement volunteer orientation program to utilize volunteers to fully support the fleet, facilities and general administration operations teams in a cooperative atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Services to recruit and train assigned volunteers.
  • May directly supervise full-time and part-time volunteers.
  • May hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of volunteers or provide recommendation regarding supervisory action.
  • Monitor, analyze and provide consultation of the regional fleet and facilities budgets.
  • Evaluate operations department outcomes and results to reinforce best in class fleet and facilities management.
  • Develop and maintain active professional relationships with key internal and external partners or vendors.
  • May write, organize or maintain technical sections of the department procedure manual.
  • Enforce organization safety policies, regulations and procedures related to fleet and facilities management to ensure they are followed at all times.
  • Responsible to be up-to-date on all relevant role specific training, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Carries out any additional assignments required to fulfill the Mission of the American Red Cross.
  • Will drive vehicle to other locations.
