About The Position

The Lead, Facilities Maintenance oversees and performs preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, operation, and monitoring of site facilities, utility equipment, and related systems. This includes, but is not limited to, boilers, air handling units, DI/RO water systems, chillers, piping, vacuum systems, pneumatics, wastewater treatment plant equipment, electrical systems, and air compressors.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of prior work in a cGMP manufacturing environment such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, or fragrance.
  • Certified through trade school or have an equivalent experience background.
  • Able to operate building management software, with Carrier i-Vu experience preferred.
  • Skilled and experienced in operating and maintaining facilities equipment.
  • Experienced in using equipment and tools including, but not limited to, welders, pipe sweating, soldering, HVAC testing, charging, and evacuation.
  • Comfortable using basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective at managing time, work schedules, events, programs, and other activities with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Able to communicate information and ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Accomplished in troubleshooting and repairing chillers, air handlers, building automation systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, vacuum systems, and electrical systems.
  • Committed to maintaining and expanding technical knowledge.
  • Able to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed with a High-Pressure Black Seal Boiler license, preferred, or are willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensed with a Wastewater N1 or higher license, preferred, or are willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Certified with a CFC Universal Refrigerant License and HVAC Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform facilities installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs for Shiseido Americas East Windsor facilities and utility equipment systems, ensuring all work follows standard work instructions and Shiseido Americas safety principles.
  • Use skills, tools, and materials to support facilities maintenance objectives and provide timely updates to the Senior Manager, Facilities on job progress.
  • Communicate with plant customers/department representatives as needed to ensure standard operating procedures (SOP), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) procedures are followed correctly.
  • Create and enter completed work orders into the computerized maintenance management system and identify any gaps or corrective actions needed.
  • Receive directions and assignments from the Sr. Manager, Facilities and help cascade assignments to the Facilities team as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating daily project-related work involving outside contractors.
