About The Position

EQUALS TRUE is seeking a Lead Experience Designer for a remote-first, full-time, 6-month project. This role involves owning end-to-end design for complex pricing and calendar experiences, transforming dense, data-driven workflows into intuitive user experiences. The designer will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Research, and Writing teams to define problems, map user flows, prototype interactions, and launch new products. The position requires shaping design direction for complex initiatives, balancing user, technical, and business needs, and utilizing AI-powered prototyping for rapid iteration and validation. The Lead Experience Designer will influence product and leadership decisions through strong storytelling and provide indirect design leadership and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product or experience design experience.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with a strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, whitespace, and grid systems.
  • Experience designing complex, data-heavy platforms, tools, or systems and simplifying dense technical workflows.
  • Strong systems thinking and proven ability to navigate ambiguity, absorb complex domain knowledge, and work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Experience defining design direction, influencing product strategy, and contributing to scalable product systems across platforms.
  • Experience with AI prototyping or demonstrated adaptability and curiosity toward AI-powered design workflows.
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with 0-to-1 or major product redesign experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design across complex pricing and calendar experiences, from early problem definition and strategy through execution and launch.
  • Turn dense, logic-heavy, and data-driven workflows into clear, intuitive experiences for individual users and businesses managing complex operations at scale.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Research, and Writing to define problems, map user flows, prototype interactions, and launch new products and services.
  • Shape design direction for highly complex initiatives, balancing user, technical, and business needs while maintaining a high bar for visual and interaction craft.
  • Use AI-powered prototyping to explore concepts, iterate quickly, and validate ideas earlier in the design process.
  • Influence product and leadership decisions through a clear design point of view and strong storytelling.
  • Scope initiatives with Product and Engineering, help define the design process and timeline, and provide indirect design leadership and mentorship across teams.
