About The Position

This is a full-time position located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista. The Lead, Environmental Services will be the shift lead and primary contact for the day shift staff. Performs job functions to support environmental care: Patient Care area cleaning, Non-Patient Care area cleaning, Linen Service, Waste Removal, Sharps container removal, Meeting/Event set-up/breakdown, and Infection Control/Sanitation. Primarily responsible for lead duties such as staff scheduling, training, supervising and monitoring for quality assurance while utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. Follows established policies and practices to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements. Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of EVS Housekeeping experience in healthcare.
• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.
