About The Position

The UTeach Institute at UT Austin is a hub for STEM education innovation, supporting institutions nationwide in attracting and retaining STEM majors into teaching careers, developing teacher preparation programs, and creating K-12 coursework and professional learning. This position is crucial for leading a team and coordinating activities related to program evaluation, data collection, management, and reporting for the UTeach Institute, while also supporting other STEM Education initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in education, mathematics, science, or related field.
  • Three years of successful, relevant work experience.
  • Strong project management, communication, data collection, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of relational database structures.
  • Experience designing and coordinating the execution of evaluation plans to support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead a team and work well both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and handle competing priorities in alignment with team goals and objectives.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Request, clean, process, and check for accuracy incoming data from constituents into various data management systems.
  • Coordinate the development, utilization, and maintenance of data in accordance with the needs and strategic objectives of UTeach Institute.
  • Direct and create data management procedures in terms of procurement, security, processing, validity, and accuracy.
  • Supervise the Data and Evaluation team and lead the team in strategic evaluation initiatives, timelines, and data collection activities.
  • Lead annual graduate tracking project in design and implementation of processes to successfully collect annual employment and credential information for UTeach graduates nationwide.
  • Support other data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Administer and support Qualtrics survey system for multiple projects.
  • Administer and support Salesforce database application.
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly data interfaces including reporting and data dashboards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of evaluation projects.
  • Design, implement, and test quantitative and qualitative data collection protocols (i.e., surveys, interviews, focus groups) and processes to ensure accurate, systematic, and continuous collection of longitudinal data for multiple projects.
  • Prepare Institutional Review Board study proposal submissions and maintain continuing reviews for projects across UTeach.
  • Lead the process for the UTeach Institute of creating and maintaining Confidential Data Control Plans and Data Use Agreements with partner institutions.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure operations and program activities are effectively executed (i.e. attend and assist with select workshops, meetings, site visits, and conferences) and adhere to The University of Texas guidelines and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and productive workplace culture and provide timely information regarding data and evaluation as inquiries arise.
  • Plan for and Attend Professional Development activities that support the strategic growth, productivity, and mission of the organization.
