About The Position

At Hiatus Day Spa & Med Spa, we believe in enhancing natural beauty and promoting wellness through exceptional skincare and spa treatments. Our dedicated team is passionate about providing an unforgettable experience for every client. We're looking for a dynamic Lead in skincare to join our leadership team and help elevate our educational programs and service quality. The Lead role is an hourly management position, serving as the direct report for all licensed estheticians at the location, with a maximum requirement of five hours weekly. Weeks that require additional hours (i.e., advanced training, etc.) may be granted the additional payroll hours, with prior approval. The Lead is the ultimate responsibility for the team, serving as the leader in motivation, coaching, education, and operations. The Lead directly reports to the Spa Manager and Education Manager.

Requirements

  • Licensed Esthetician with 1 year of experience in a spa or salon setting, and/or 6 months with Hiatus consistently performing at a Level 3 or higher.
  • Strong knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and techniques, with advanced training in Hydrafacial, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, and medical-grade peels.
  • Proficient in using Zenoti for training, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring team members.

  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to person for the location, ensuring a seamless experience for both therapists and guests by monitoring and evaluating their performance while offering constructive feedback and ongoing support.
  • Assist in the practical interview process, and welcome and onboard new hires with a focus on excellence.
  • Be available throughout new hire test-outs to offer guidance, keep everything running smoothly, distribute and collect feedback forms.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and professionalism among the skincare team.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Spa Manager to discuss team goals, performance, and coaching needs.
  • Coach and support estheticians on performance metrics by giving regular feedback to help them improve and succeed while maintaining a positive and professional environment.
  • Oversee inventory and product ordering, conduct regular room checks, maintain state-required logs for compliance, and ensure the skincare dispensary is stocked and pristine.
  • Collaborate with the Educator Manager to audit skincare and body treatments, and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Drive continuous improvement with regular training sessions focused on advanced techniques, enhancing guest experience, and deepening product knowledge.
