About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Equipment Finance Underwriter within their Commercial Capital group. This role is an opportunity to work with one of the top commercial banking lenders in the U.S. The position involves leading complex initiatives for researching financial and credit information for larger and more complex commercial or business loan and lease requests. The Lead Underwriter will assist in structuring and approving loans or leases within delegated authority and recommend transactions exceeding credit authority. They will review and research financial and credit information for larger and complex loans and lease requests requiring in-depth evaluation, and make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations demanding exceptional understanding of Equipment Finance Underwriting functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve business objectives is expected, as is mentoring or reviewing the analysis of less experienced individuals. The role also includes leading projects and approving transactions in excess of their credit authority.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Equipment Finance Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
  • This position does not support Visa Sponsorship
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
