About The Position

The Lead EPM Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle EPM solutions for client organizations. This role partners closely with customers to map business processes to Oracle‑delivered functionality, provide best‑practice guidance, and ensure successful implementation outcomes. The Lead EPM Consultant serves as a trusted advisor, technical lead, and client liaison, contributing across multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12 years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years of Oracle EPM implementations.
  • Must be a US citizen to work with federal client.
  • Hands‑on experience with financial processes including planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in an onsite/offshore delivery model.
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors and integrated systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple task assignments.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle EPM application architecture and configuration.
  • Experience across the full EPM workstream, including design, build, test, deploy, and support.
  • Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to manage relationships across all stakeholder levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.
  • Ability to document complex functional and technical concepts clearly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, influence decisions, and drive solutions.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Oracle Cloud Specialization certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support on‑site and remote deployment of Oracle EPM applications for client organizations.
  • Guide customers through Oracle‑delivered functionality and map client business processes to system capabilities.
  • Provide consulting guidance on best practices for financial business processes and EPM implementations.
  • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to identify, document, manage, and validate business requirements.
  • Design and configure complex application functionality, including advanced business rules, data entry processes, and integration methods.
  • Optimize application performance and functionality across the full EPM workstream.
  • Design, execute, and manage testing processes, including system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to and lead cross‑project collaboration and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Research and analyze existing client systems and processes, identifying data flows, integrations, risks, and implementation considerations.
  • Recommend implementation approaches based on technical, business, and risk assessments.
  • Lead project teams or initiatives when required.
  • Coordinate directly with customers to manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure delivery success.
  • Transfer system and process knowledge to clients through documentation, training, and hands‑on support.
  • Manage multiple project requests concurrently, prioritizing work effectively.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional and technical design artifacts.
  • Report project status, risks, and issues to management and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Analysts and Functional Consultants to gather requirements for reports, interfaces, extensions, integrations, and data conversions.
  • Drive configurations, reporting, interfaces, testing, and end‑user training activities.
  • Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation for conversions, interfaces, and custom reporting using established revision control standards.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of conversions and integrations to and from Oracle’s Suite of Business Applications.
  • Open, manage, and resolve Oracle Service Requests with Oracle Support.
  • Drive issue resolution and troubleshooting during development and post‑production support.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, Oracle enhancements, and industry best practices to support consulting initiatives.
