About The Position

The Lead Environmental Services Technician performs housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks and provides strong supervision to a staff of 25 or more employees. The role is based at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia, and works a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position provides leadership and direction to employees, supports effective working relationships across the hospital and with the public, and ensures sanitation compliance for patients, guests, and employees. It also supports infection control and sanitation standards through policies and procedures, coordinates rental linen and uniform efforts, provides multidisciplinary support services, and participates in employee awareness and education.

Requirements

At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hospital setting.
Familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions.
Strong supervisory skills; the role supervises a staff of 25 or more employees.

Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, direction, and equitable treatment in dealings with all employees.
Create effective and cohesive working relationships with department employees, department heads, hospital staff, and the public.
Ensure regulatory compliance with sanitation requirements for patients, guests, and employees.
Ensure public areas are appropriately sanitized to project a strong, positive image.
Generate relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation standards.
Coordinate rental linen and uniform efforts.
Provide multidisciplinary support services.
Participate in employee awareness and education.
