Discover Impactful Work In this role, you will support critical R&D and engineering initiatives through hands-on involvement in prototype development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create prototypes, conduct experiments, collect data, and ensure quality standards are met. Using mechanical, electrical, and analytical skills, you'll help bring innovative products from concept to commercialization. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced technology while contributing to solutions in healthcare, environmental protection, and scientific discovery.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of technical or engineering experience required
  • Experience supporting product development, prototyping, testing, or engineering operations
  • Experience reworking and repairing electrical boards
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation and procedures
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems, and other laboratory test equipment
  • Knowledge of product development processes, testing methodologies, and validation procedures
  • Familiarity with documentation systems and engineering change control processes
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical software tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Understanding of laboratory safety practices and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Building, modifying, and testing prototype assemblies and systems
  • Conducting experiments and validation activities to support product development efforts
  • Collecting, analyzing, and documenting test data
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems and identifying root causes of issues
  • Reworking and repairing electrical circuit boards
  • Assisting with design verification, product characterization, and engineering investigations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting change control processes
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support product commercialization
