About The Position

Key West Historic Inns is looking for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join their team and help maintain the charm, safety, and functionality of their unique historic properties. In this role, you will support the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer in leading day-to-day maintenance operations across the property. From troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to responding to guest needs and supporting capital projects, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for teamwork and service excellence.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Nice To Haves

Technical certifications or licenses are a plus
Proficiency in using maintenance management software is desirable
