About The Position

TekSynap is seeking a Lead Engineer to support Joint Service Provider (JSP) Engineering and Development for the Enterprise (ED-E) contract in Arlington, Virginia. The position provides senior systems engineering leadership for complex systems and subsystems, including technical guidance, systems integration, project planning, and support for government customers. This role supports an upcoming government contract proposal and is contingent upon contract award and government approval. Candidates may be required to sign a Letter of Commitment. The position is based in an office environment with a medium noise level. The regular schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, though evening and weekend work may be requested to meet program and contract needs. Travel is less than 10%. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have an active Secret clearance at the time of application; Top Secret clearance is preferred. Requirements

At least 15 years of directly related experience in all phases of systems engineering.
Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques across various operating systems and platforms.
Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects integrating multiple technical domains.
Experience developing and applying systems engineering best practices, including cross-functional systems planning and optimization.
Experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations.
Master’s degree in an Information Technology-related field.
Active Secret clearance at the time of application; applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including regularly standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; handling objects; reaching; and lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 or 50 pounds frequently.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience supporting the same or a similar contract, with in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape.
Top Secret clearance preferred.
Knowledge of or certification in specific systems, technologies, or applications may be necessary depending on assignment; certifications are not generally required.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level systems engineering expertise and counsel to project teams and functional or user-area managers on complex systems.
Design, coordinate, and implement major computer systems and subsystems spanning multiple functional lines.
Oversee integration of new applications with existing systems to ensure compatibility, efficiency, and minimal disruption.
Consult with systems users to assess system utilization and identify modifications that improve efficiency, facilitate integration, or reduce operating costs.
Investigate emerging procedures, technologies, and systems and assess their relevance and potential operational impact.
Provide consultative support to applications programmers, software engineers, systems analysts, and computer center operations staff.
Participate in developing systems analysis standards and strategic planning for complex systems initiatives.
Direct systems project planning and scheduling to align with operational priorities and technical requirements.
Evaluate system requirements, coordinate work across subsystems, and provide architectural guidance for complex engineering solutions.
