About The Position

The Lead Engineer in Test Development designs, develops, and implements automatic test equipment and test programs for product testing and design verification to ensure robust, high-quality assembled products in manufacturing. Test development work may focus on structural testing, which verifies an assembly process by testing its elements and interconnects, or functional testing, which verifies that a design performs its intended purpose. The role works independently on most aspects of moderately complex assignments under general supervision and within established professional standards. It develops technical solutions, interprets customer documentation, conducts research and experiments, contributes technical leadership to projects, and communicates with internal and external teams, suppliers, and customers. The engineer develops test strategies, plans, hardware and software solutions, and production test automation, then integrates, validates, qualifies, installs, debugs, and stabilizes those solutions for manufacturing. The position also supports continuous improvement in failure analysis, cycle time, test yield, and false-failure reduction. The position is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and involves lab work and exposure to manufacturing environments. Some travel may be required, including to Canada, Mexico, Asia, and the EU. The work concerns technologies regulated by the Canadian government's Controlled Goods Program; candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and employment is conditional on successful security screening under the Controlled Goods Regulations and ITAR.
