About The Position

The Lead Engineer will retain their current workshop assignment with routine work assignments except when covering Senior Watch duties as scheduled by senior management. Will be responsible for supervising daily staff activities and work assignments to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of work assignments and will liaise with other departments to resolve miscellaneous facility issues. Will respond immediately to all facility emergencies and will provide direction and resources to engineering staff for timely resolution. Will provide communication with other departments and property executives as required during and after such events. Will enforce all company and department policies with maintenance staff members including issuing discipline, and commendations when appropriate. Will provide assistance to all trades and crafts with routine work assignments as needed. Responsible for other miscellaneous duties that may be assigned by senior management. Will provide daily verbal and written shift & log reports to senior management.

Requirements

• A minimum of (4) four years commercial or industrial Journeyman experience in building trades and crafts working a large casino/resort property with a detailed knowledgeable of all building systems.
• Ability to read, understand and work from project drawings.
• Understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in the safe use of all trade related hand and power tools, safety and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work with little supervision and provide sound direction in stressful and emergency situations.
• Effective communication with senior management, department managers and line staff.
• Detail oriented with good leadership, customer and employee relationship skills.
• Willingness to adjust work schedule as required to meet business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Basic computer skills.
• A valid Nevada Driver's License.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of an OSHA 30 (will be required not later than 60 days after position entry).
