About The Position

As a member of the NTI DLE Combustor Team, you will be an active contributor to the robust mechanical design of the Micromixer & a Swirl premixers for natural gas and H2 combustion system for the next generation Aeroderivative and Heavy-duty engines.

Requirements

• 4 Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college; or relevant experience that would be equal to a bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years or more of Combustion System Premixer Design Experience
• 2 years of experience with producing parts through additive manufacturing
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated ability to manage several projects across multiple competing priorities
• Demonstrated capability in collaborating with global teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Manufacturing and Additive experience

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design of Micromixer and Swirler premixer and combustor leveraging hand calculations, 2D and 3D Finite Element Analysis (FEA), component and rig testing to meet program requirements.
• Drive quality of our products through completion of robust design for additive printing and perform design stack ups, with robust qualifications.
• Work cross functionally with Manufacturing, AMW, and Vendors to deliver on time high quality products for testing and to our customer.
• Implements lean and continuous improvement to engineering tasks.
• Lead the execution of small scale lab tests and field tests to validate analytical assumptions and mechanical design.
• Proactively and effectively communicate project specific progress and schedule/technical risk.
• Documents work clearly and effectively & presents work in formal and informal reviews.
• Act as resource for colleagues with less experience.
