About The Position

As a member of the Gas Turbine Engineering organization of GE Gas Power, part of GE Vernova, specifically a member of the Combustion Design module, you will be an active contributor to the advanced modeling, simulation and methods development activities. You will perform high-end FEA simulations to assess durability performance parameters of the combustion system and propose mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with design engineers and work closely with the Controlled Title Holders in supporting engine programs and root cause analysis while ensuring that designs meet all durability, operability, and emissions requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in a practical application
  • Minimum 4 years of experience modeling structural, thermal and modal/harmonic analysis
  • Experience with CAD and pre-processing tools to prepare and mesh gas turbine components

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline
  • Experience in gas turbine FEA modeling with commercial codes such as Ansys Mechanical
