The Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer with a focus on Automation is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing automation-centric manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers' products within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment. This role emphasizes the integration of robotics, AGVs, and industrial control systems into production lines.Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Design, develop, and implement new automated manufacturing processes to support customer products, specializing in robotics and autonomous systems integration. Develop application software (using languages like RAPID, KRL, Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Python) and tooling for a comprehensive set of complex automated machines and mechanical process steps. Implement plan and lead the assessment of the capability of automation systems and process applications using Design of Experiments and statistical methods across the full manufacturing process. Lead disciplined process for solving complex product, process, component, and related problems that affect the efficient operation and/or manufacture of products through the full manufacturing process, with a focus on automation system performance. Initiate and lead the assessment and provide feedback to product designers on suitability of designs for manufacturability and automation. Manage AGV fleet systems, traffic management, and their integration with WMS/MES systems. Configure and optimize industrial control systems (PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, Industrial Networking) for automated lines.
