About The Position

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. (NPAA) is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team. This role involves process and equipment troubleshooting, utilization of SPC for quality improvement, and assistance with cost reduction and process reliability programs. The successful applicant will develop skill sets and work on small-scale capital projects, coordinating and facilitating efficiency initiatives within the department. Responsibilities include conferring with vendors, evaluating products, and working with maintenance and contractors for repairs and improvements. The role also involves analyzing space requirements, workflow, and designing layouts for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Process/equipment troubleshooting (including process control systems)
  • Utilization of SPC to improve batch quality
  • Assistance with cost reduction, process reliability and quality improvement programs
  • Develop skill sets and work on small scale capital projects
  • Coordinating/facilitating several efficiency initiatives within the department and following through on them to the point of realized benefits
