The Lead Turbine Static Hot Gas Path Engineer will be part of the F/Annular/Aeroderivatives Hot Gas Path team and will be responsible for technical execution of Aeroderivatives hot gas path initiatives. This includes industrialization, life evaluation and extensions, as well as component redesigns for improvements. The Static Hot Gas Path engineer will be responsible for successful characterization of current static hardware, providing long term support, and will drive towards achieving goals of the Aeroderivatives business. This will require deep involvement with Cross Functional Engineering teams and Global Supply Chain teams; supporting and qualifying hardware for new factory introductions; supporting and performing RCA & CAPA activities with partners in Aeroderivatives Services and Systems; working hand in hand with the Repair Center of Excellence, the Global Supply Chain, and Product Management. These responsibilities will require both analytical and hands-on contributions. The Lead Turbine Static Hot Gas Path Engineer also ensures that hardware will meet Product and Design Practice CTQs, by working closely with the Controlled Title Holders, Heat Transfer, Manufacturing, and Sourcing Teams on component and sub-system optimizations, focusing on: Design for Cost (Product & Total Lifecycle), Design for Variation, and Design for Manufacturability, using Lean methods.
