Lead Engineer Gas Turbine Design - Artificial Intelligence (w/relocation assistance)
About The Position
The Lead Engineer will join the Gas Turbine Engineering organization and connect module design engineers with efficient, high-productivity projects and leading technology for the GE Vernova business. The role focuses on executing critical AI projects and strengthening the organization's technical capabilities. The engineer will deliver, test, and productionize AI and automation use cases for gas turbine design areas such as mechanical design, heat transfer, aerodynamics, CFD, geometry creation, design for manufacturing, and operations. They will collaborate with design teams to understand their needs and develop productivity-enhancing solutions; work with leadership to evaluate AI/ML training effectiveness; and train and coach design engineers across the United States, Poland, India, and Mexico. The position also promotes model governance, responsible AI, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience with data science and related gas turbine design experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

- Proficiency in Python and prior experience with AI/ML.
- Prior experience working in GE Vernova Gas Power Engineering.
- Track record of training technical teams and driving tool adoption or change management.

Responsibilities
- Deliver, test, and productionize AI and automation use cases for gas turbine design areas, including mechanical design, heat transfer, aerodynamics, CFD, geometry creation, design for manufacturing, and operations.
- Collaborate with design teams to understand their needs and deliver productivity-enhancing solutions.
- Work with Gas Turbine Engineering leadership to execute metrics assessing the effectiveness of AI/ML training programs.
- Train and coach design engineers across the United States, Poland, India, and Mexico on AI/ML and automation tools.
- Create clear documentation, standard work, and playbooks.
- Ensure model governance and responsible AI practices, including validation, bias checks, and intellectual property protection.
- Collaborate across Gas Turbine Engineering to share best practices and promote continuous learning and innovation.
