About The Position

This role is for a Lead Engineer in the Body Systems Center of Excellence (CoE). The position involves supporting project delivery related to engineering and design from kick-off to implementation, including various stages like QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, drawing and model preparation, CAE and physical validation support, and development and implementation support. The role also requires CAD support for engineering proposals, release of drawings and models, preparation of Bill of Materials, and exposure to global requirements for BIW (Body in White) engineering and design, specifically for Body side Closures, Underbody, and Front End. A key aspect of the role is conceptualizing, designing, and developing BIW/Closure/Underbody Sheet metal parts, and supporting CDMM and other implementation teams for part development and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
• 6 to 9 Years of experience

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements as per program milestones (Any OEM Product development Gateway System).
• Support project delivery related to engineering and design from kick-off to implementation, including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, drawing and model preparation and release, CAE and physical validation support, development and implementation support.
• Provide CAD support for engineering proposals preparation in consultation with internal and external (Supplier) experts.
• Release drawings and models with the system engineer.
• Prepare Bill of Materials.
• Gain exposure to global requirements for BIW engineering and design (Body side Closures, Underbody and front end).
• Conceptualize, design, and develop BIW/Closure/Underbody Sheet metal parts.
• Support CDMM and other implementation teams for part development and quality initiatives.
