About The Position

The Resiliency & Business Continuity Center of Excellence (CoE) Sr Lead serves as the Church-wide enabler for resiliency and business continuity capabilities. This role is responsible for defining standards, frameworks, maturity models, and guidance that help departments and areas prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. Operating within the Risk Management division of Finance and Records, the position functions as a senior professional and trusted advisor, scaling resiliency through collaboration, influence, and enablement rather than direct execution. The role provides strategic leadership, subject matter expertise, and program coordination across a distributed, global organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8 years of experience in organizational resiliency, business continuity, emergency response, disaster recovery, risk management, or a related field
  • Recognized subject matter expertise in business continuity and/or organizational resiliency
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing standards, frameworks, maturity models, or enterprise-wide programs
  • Experience working in distributed or global organizations and influencing without direct authority
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs or projects with minimal oversight
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or guiding other professionals
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain Church-wide resiliency (business emergency response and disaster recovery) and business continuity standards, frameworks, templates, and guidance aligned with risk management governance
  • Define and oversee resiliency and business continuity maturity models, including coordinated self-assessments, risk assessments, and business impact analyses
  • Provide guidance to departments and areas on capability development, prioritization, and long-term preparedness planning
  • Coordinate business continuity planning, testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities Church-wide
  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and materials aligned to maturity levels
  • Enable and support designated resiliency and business continuity leads across departments and areas
  • Facilitate a Church-wide community of practice to promote collaboration, shared learning, and consistency
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing adoption of standards and best practices
  • Consolidate insights and report on resiliency maturity, preparedness, and risks to Risk Management leadership
