About The Position

The Lead Steam Turbine Product Service Engineer executes product service projects and initiatives, applying in-depth technical knowledge to provide solutions for equipment-related issues. This engineer works collaboratively across functions to support engineering requests, root cause analyses, and customer needs, while demonstrating growing expertise and beginning to mentor others in areas of technical competency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of product service, field service, or related engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems using multiple internal sources.
  • Apply developing in-depth knowledge to address engineering requests and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Lead technical investigations within defined scope.
  • Support colleagues across functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Present technical data effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Take increasing ownership of projects and their outcomes.
  • Act as project lead on initiatives with defined scope.
  • Skillfully use project management tools and demonstrate confidence in meeting deliverables.
  • Author and review technical communications including engineering analyses, customer presentations, and internal guidance documents.
  • Explain technical information clearly to others and provide technical guidance based on experience.
  • Participate in and contribute to root cause analysis investigations.
  • Support development of corrective actions for equipment non-conformances.
  • Take initiative to identify improvements to current processes and raise ideas for broader changes.
  • Play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute decisions and ideas that benefit both the organization and customers.
  • Build credibility and cultivate relationships with customers (if customer-facing).
  • Develop understanding of fleet issues and product performance.
  • Begin to mentor and train others in areas of developing expertise.
  • Participate in weekend duty phone.
