About The Position
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is seeking a Lead Elementary STEM Teacher, currently employed by MCPS, to assist the Administrator of STEM with curriculum development for MCPS elementary STEM classes. This position serves the entire division and is open exclusively to current MCPS elementary STEM teachers.
Requirements
- An elementary STEM teacher currently employed by MCPS
- Experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
- Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Continue to teach STEM classes full time at their respective school(s)
- Work with the Administrator of STEM to help coordinate the STEM pacing guides and lessons for PreK-5
- Plan and facilitate curriculum development activities for PD workdays
- Work with the Administrator of STEM to provide resource support and instructional coordination for all MCPS elementary STEM teachers
- Serve as a point of contact for all elementary STEM teachers and act as a liaison between the teachers and the Director of Elementary Education
Benefits
- Stipend in the amount of $1,500 - $3,000 annually
