This role involves programming and troubleshooting of control systems, including PLCs, servo drives, AC drives, interface modules, DC Drives, and HMIs. It also requires mechanical skills for repairs and maintenance tasks. The successful individual will serve as the shift lead and technical lead, supporting all production areas and working collaboratively within the maintenance and engineering team.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working with control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a self-starter – work with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical background.
  • Previous Lean Mfg. experience.
  • CMMS (MP2 preferred).
  • Experience with PLCs (GE & Allen Bradley).
  • Experience with Servo Controls, Drives, HMIs.

Responsibilities

  • Programming and troubleshooting of control systems that include PLCs, servo drives, AC drives, interface modules, DC Drives, and HMIs.
  • Assisting in mechanical repairs and preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Serving as the shift lead and technical lead on the assigned shift.
  • Supporting all production areas.
  • Multi-tasking and working within a collaborative maintenance and engineering team.
  • Performing electrical & mechanical PMs.
  • Reading, redlining, and creating electrical drawings.
  • Leading projects and/or work groups.
  • Making sound decisions and using problem-solving tools.
  • Coordinating projects and communicating results.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects following change management procedures.
  • Serving as a point person for any electronics related issues on the assigned shift and as an escalation point to junior technicians for technical challenges.
  • Supporting projects for the electronics group.
