About The Position

Security 101 – New Jersey is now recruiting a Lead Commercial Security Technician that has experience installing programming and servicing commercial electronic security devices primarily CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems and overall security systems. Security 101 is a provider of integrated electronic security solutions to a diversified set of commercial customers across multiple end markets, including healthcare, education, financial, and government, among others. Must also be able to work in both office and outside environments, climb a ladder, use a forklift, and carry boxes weighing 50lbs.

Requirements

Must have 10 yrs in the electronic security industry and a minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ programming experience.
Must be process oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.
High School (or GED) minimum requirement

Nice To Haves

Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha.
Alarm: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.
OSHA 30 and SST certification a Plus.
Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)
System knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems, and visitor management, preferred.

Responsibilities

Installing, terminating, configuring, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
Leading a team on project installations.
Managing quality control and providing fanatical customer service
Taking responsibility for and tracking project progress.
