The Lead Electrician is responsible for overseeing electrical commercial low-voltage rough-in installation projects, managing teams of electricians, and ensuring that all work is completed according to specifications, codes, and safety standards. This position ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards and acts as a liaison between Field Superintendent, customers and the electrical team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years extensive experience as a low-voltage electrician
  • 1-3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with electrical tools and equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • A customer service mindset
  • Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for handling electrical components and tools
  • Be able to stand, lift and climb stairs
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master's License

Responsibilities

  • Pull and terminate wires to controllers, components, and devices using wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve electrical control system issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance.
  • Train and mentor entry-level install technicians.
  • Provide guidance and direction to a team of electrical technicians, ensuring efficient operation and productivity on the job site.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all team members follow safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, labor, and materials.
