About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Electrician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. This position is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency.
  • Seven (7) years of experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
  • Ability to perform confined space entry.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • An active journeyperson license, valid in the State of Maryland.
