Electrical Unlimited is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrician with 5–10+ years of field experience to join our Fort Myers team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has the experience and judgment to independently run electrical projects, lead crews, troubleshoot field conditions, coordinate with customers and inspectors, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced electrician who takes ownership, solves problems, communicates professionally, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of electrical field experience required
  • Strong commercial electrical experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
  • Experience with service upgrades, panels, transformers, generators, lighting, and electrical distribution systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and work from ladders and lifts
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in Southwest Florida conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience running jobs and leading electrical crews strongly preferred
  • Experience working under Florida and Southwest Florida permitting, inspection, and electrical requirements preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with EV charging, generators, lighting controls, battery storage, or solar is a plus
  • OSHA and/or other electrical safety certifications are a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally when project needs require it

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial and residential electrical projects from start to completion
  • Supervise, train, and mentor electricians and apprentices
  • Plan daily work, manpower, materials, and jobsite activities
  • Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, one-lines, and specifications
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform electrical service upgrades, panel replacements, and equipment installations
  • Install generators and backup power systems
  • Install residential and commercial EV charging systems, including Level 2 and DC fast charging equipment
  • Install LED and architectural lighting systems and lighting controls
  • Assist with battery energy storage and renewable energy installations as the Florida operation expands
  • Ensure work complies with the NEC, applicable Florida requirements, local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards
  • Coordinate inspections and communicate professionally with inspectors and AHJs
  • Identify jobsite issues and develop practical field solutions
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, material records, photos, and project information
  • Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, vendors, project managers, and other trades
  • Help identify change-order conditions and communicate additional work before proceeding
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle and jobsite
  • Ensure assigned projects meet company expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service
