About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking an Electrician Lead responsible for leading and coordinating electrical installation, maintenance, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities across maintenance, construction, production, engineering, and facility projects. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of six years progressively responsible industrial electrical experience, including independently performing advanced electrical work plus coordinating installations, maintenance, shutdowns or emergency repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the advanced electrical work represented by the Electrician III minimum qualifications and technical competencies, including advanced troubleshooting of electrical, motor-control, PLC-controlled, instrumentation, automation, and industrial power-distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical installations, maintenance activities, equipment connections, shutdown work, or facility projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex troubleshooting involving electrical, motor-control, instrumentation, automation, mechanical, and production-system interactions.
  • Experience coordinating employees, tools, materials, parts, vendors, and other resources during planned work and emergency response.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, control schematics, ladder logic, equipment documentation, engineering specifications, and project plans.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E principles, lockout/tagout requirements, arc-flash precautions, and safe electrical work practices.
  • Ability to verify that completed work conforms to approved drawings, specifications, company standards, operational requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Ability to estimate labor, materials, tools, equipment, and time required for electrical installations, repairs, and projects and use those estimates to support work planning and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical requirements, work status, safety concerns, resource needs, and expected completion times to employees, supervisors, operations, maintenance, engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical direction and hands-on coaching to electricians or other maintenance employees during assigned electrical work, troubleshooting, installations, shutdowns, or projects.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate schedules, work orders, inspection records, project documentation, and as-built information.
  • Ability to read and understand English-language safety instructions, electrical codes, technical documentation, and work orders; communicate in English with operators and coworkers when needed for safe troubleshooting and coordination; and write required maintenance records and reports in English, at the level needed to perform these job duties.
  • Valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading large-scale or complex electrical installations, major planned shutdowns, facility projects, or emergency-response activities involving multiple employees, departments, contractors, or technical disciplines.
  • Advanced experience with PLC/HMI programming, industrial networks, controls integration, instrumentation, or automation-system commissioning beyond the troubleshooting requirements of the position.
  • California General Electrician Certification or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Completion of formal leadership, project-management, technical-coaching, or train-the-trainer development.
  • Associate degree, certificate, or advanced technical coursework in industrial electricity, electrical technology, instrumentation, automation, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance-management system to plan and document work.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.

  • Communicating technical requirements, work status, safety concerns, resource needs, and expected completion times to employees, supervisors, operations, maintenance, engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Providing technical direction and hands-on coaching to electricians or other maintenance employees during assigned electrical work, troubleshooting, installations, shutdowns, or projects.
