About The Position

We are seeking a talented Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the end-to-end design, integration, and optimization of complex electrical systems. You will ensure that our custom HVAC, liquid cooling, and electrical systems meet stringent performance, efficiency, reliability, and regulatory requirements for high-stakes applications. This is a hands-on technical role with opportunities to innovate in energy-efficient solutions for the world's most demanding environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Associate’s Engineering degree with at least 5 years experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, bill of materials and documentation.
  • Experience with 3D models and electrical wiring software such as Solidworks Electrical and Autocad Electrical.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and UL/CSA standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional technical projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer sites or factory support (up to 15%).
  • Practical experience with industrial electrical panels and compartments, motor control circuits, VFDs, contactors and power distribution.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform short circuit calculations, harmonic filter analysis and power system studies will be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document electrical systems for XNRGY data center HVAC products, including controls panels, power distribution and wiring harnesses.
  • Develop and maintain electrical 3D models, single-line and three-line drawings, electrical routings for production, schematics, bill of materials and technical documentation for air handling units, liquid cooling loops, fan arrays, and heat exchangers.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of subsystems, design intent and serviceability.
  • Apply and interpret the National Electric Code (NEC) and ensure designs comply with UL 60335-2-40, UL-508 and NFPA requirements for safety and performance.
  • Integrate electrical and control systems with mechanical and refrigerant subsystems.
  • Support applications engineering, prototype builds, verification testing, and field evaluations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, tools, VAVE and standards.
  • Maintain configuration control of electrical drawings, ECOs, and documentation.
  • Lead and complete complex New Product Development, Sustaining, Engineer-to-Order and Field Installation projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Size and test low voltage electrical equipment, cables, harnesses and components.
