About The Position
This role provides technical leadership for electrical power system research and development. The Lead Electrical Engineer will build technical roadmaps, identify emerging technologies, and drive innovation in integrated power systems, energy management, and shipboard electrification. Additionally, this position will focus on developing engineering talent and supporting a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoW Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems
- Advanced knowledge of integrated power systems, power conversion, energy storage, and electrical distribution technologies
- Expertise in laboratory testing, system integration, and data-driven validation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear technical reports and give concise briefings to senior military and executive stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in naval power systems
- Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex research programs
- Strong ability to develop technical strategies and roadmaps for innovative technologies and research programs
