About The Position

The Lead Electrical Engineer leads a group delivering electrical engineering work for nuclear power plant projects. The role supports single- and multi-discipline projects involving investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical engineering issues, with substantial interface and coordination across disciplines. The position uses a hybrid work arrangement: three days per week in the office and two days remotely. The engineer leads detailed design phases and group members' work, ensuring deliverables meet technical, quality, financial, scope, budget, schedule, and project-control expectations. The role develops scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants; provides technical oversight for electrical design activities; and interfaces with clients, implementing personnel, and equipment vendors. The position also mentors and guides the group and identifies opportunities for follow-on client work. Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group works on nuclear engineering, design, and licensing, including small modular reactors, advanced reactor technology, existing-plant life extensions and digital modernization, coal-to-nuclear conversion initiatives, and international nuclear new-build projects.
