About The Position

We are creating a new position, Lead EHR Analyst, to serve as the senior application owner for our electronic health record environment. Lunera participates in a Community Connect arrangement, in which a host organization owns the EHR technical environment and performs the base build. In this role, your most important skill won't be configuration alone. It will be your ability to represent Lunera's needs credibly and effectively within a governance process that another organization controls. You will directly own our revenue cycle, patient access, and pharmacy workflows, lead release validation for every host upgrade, and provide technical leadership to our application team. The role begins as an individual contributor with lead responsibilities and grows to supervise two analysts, an Ambulatory Analyst and a Dental Analyst, as those positions are established. This is an opportunity to shape how a mission-driven health center gets the most out of its EHR, and to build an application team from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience supporting or configuring an electronic health record.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring revenue cycle, registration, or patient access applications.
  • Demonstrated experience representing organizational requirements to an external vendor, host, or governance body.
  • Demonstrated experience leading testing and validation across an upgrade or release cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct or mentor other analysts, whether as a formal supervisor or a technical lead.
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular travel among our three sites.

Nice To Haves

  • EHR certification in ambulatory, revenue cycle, access, or pharmacy application.
  • Experience in a Community Connect member organization or a comparable shared EHR arrangement.
  • Experience with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or other EHR platforms.
  • FQHC experience, including familiarity with sliding fee scale and 340B program workflows.
  • Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Lunera with the Community Connect host. You will be Lunera's principal voice in host change control, preparing, submitting, and defending change requests. You'll know the host responsibility matrix and service level agreement well enough to tell what belongs to the host and what belongs to us, review upgrade content and release notes for operational impact, escalate performance concerns and scope disputes to the CIO with supporting documentation, and manage Lunera's change request portfolio, including prioritization and status reporting to IT governance.
  • Own revenue cycle, patient access, and pharmacy applications. You will own professional billing, claims, and revenue cycle workflow configuration in partnership with our billing department, along with registration, scheduling, and patient access workflows. You'll own ambulatory pharmacy workflows across both of our dispensing sites, support sliding fee scale configuration and eligibility capture, and partner with billing on the data and workflow dependencies of 340B split billing.
  • Lead release, validation, and quality. You will lead member-side testing and release readiness for each host upgrade cycle, maintain test scripts, validation evidence, and regression coverage, and own the integrity of Lunera's build record, including the documented rationale behind local configuration decisions. You'll coordinate interface testing with the Dental Analyst wherever dental integration is affected.
  • Build and lead the application team. As the team grows, you will provide day-to-day direction, work assignment, and technical mentoring to our analysts, contribute to hiring and onboarding, and set team standards for documentation, testing, and change request preparation. You'll balance competing service line demands against available capacity and communicate priorities transparently.
  • Keep operations running. You will coordinate planned and unplanned EHR downtime procedures across all sites and both pharmacies, participate in business continuity planning and downtime testing, serve as senior escalation for application issues raised through the service desk, and take part in after-hours escalation for clinical application incidents.

Benefits

  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
