About The Position

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Lead Educational Sales Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of both the IXL and Rosetta Stone K-12 platforms. You will serve in a leadership role on the sales team, managing a team of 2-3 educational sales consultants. In addition, you will be responsible for your own small territory revenue target. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance these responsibilities successfully. This position reports directly to one of IXL’s Regional Sales Directors. This is a full-time remote position for candidates located in Ontario, Canada, preferably in the Toronto metro area.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Education or related field
  • Educational Technology Sales background
  • Complete understanding of the K-12 market
  • 5+ years of experience in sales
  • Familiarity with Web-based technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals
  • Passion for bringing technology into the classroom

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales management experience preferred
  • Direct classroom experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish sales strategy based on market conditions
  • Develop metrics in order to drive strategy and meet revenue expectations
  • Provide leadership to a highly skilled team of sales consultants
  • Establish and maintain an independent sales pipeline from a specific territory
  • Develop a keen understanding of K-12 customer needs and values
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching throughout the sales process with your expert background in K-12 educational technology sales
  • Track, forecast, budget, and monitor sales pipeline
  • Meet individual contributor and team sales goals on a consistent basis
  • Ability to travel 75-80% with periodic overnights as required
