About The Position

Oversees and participates in the delivery of high quality professional and technical care for the Cardio Diagnostics Department. Oversees and coordinates a variety of supervisory and technical duties and responsibilities associated with unit/department, to ensure efficient operation, skills and competencies of staff, effectiveness of technical studies and achievement of accreditation. Assists in supervising the daily work of the echosonographers, allocating and monitoring patient care and technical work as it relates to cardiovascular ultrasound. Serves as key lead to educate staff on technique for performance of echocardiograms (including pedi/adult echo, vascular and EKG) and ensures competency, proficiency in the performance of technical work. Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participates in related continuing education. Requirements

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years experience in Echocardiography.
