About The Position

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is hiring Lead Early Childhood Teachers for our 2.5–3-year-old classrooms. This is an exciting developmental stage where children build independence, rapidly expand language skills, learn to navigate friendships, and become increasingly curious about the world. We are looking for experienced educators who can turn that curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with toddlers, older toddlers, or preschool-age children is strongly preferred.
• Lead classroom experience is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of children approximately 2.5–3 years old
• Create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Plan hands-on activities that encourage language, creativity, movement, and early academic skills
• Support independence, self-help skills, and social-emotional development
• Establish consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
• Observe developmental progress and support individual milestones
• Partner with families and provide regular classroom communication
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
• Maintain required documentation and classroom safety standards
• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
