About The Position

Ramboll is seeking motivated candidates to join our Water & Wastewater Treatment Division in Arlington, VA; Richmond, VA; Syracuse, NY; Brentwood, TN or Baton Rouge, LA. Other office locations may be considered on a case-by-case basis. This is a hybrid position. The Lead Water Due Diligence Engineer will support water and due diligence and master planning projects. The role spans service areas including water supply, water infrastructure, and water and wastewater treatment to develop comprehensive water solutions for mission-critical facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams; evaluate and interpret data; and exercise independent judgment when selecting and applying applicable regulations and standards. The position also involves leading tasks and clearly presenting technical information to external clients. Travel may be required depending on project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related science discipline (e.g., environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering and/or water due diligence.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within the primary state of residence/operation, as relevant to the role.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transactional environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on teams with diverse skill sets, including engineers from other disciplines, scientists, and subcontracted professionals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for industrial and/or mission critical clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct water and wastewater due diligence assessments and master plans, including desktop reviews, site visits to industrial facilities, coordination with utilities and/or regulatory agencies, review of historical site information, and preparation of client-specific reports.
  • Analyze, develop, and interpret reports, drawings, analytical results, and other data required for planning and design projects related to water management, both quantity and quality.
  • Prepare and present technical deliverables (e.g., design calculations, field data results and conclusions, and/or cost estimates) to audiences that may include project team members, the project manager, the project owner, and external clients.
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Prepare proposals, fee estimates, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
