About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, is seeking a Lead Distribution Center Specialist for its Specialty Chemical Distribution (SCD) Division located in Germantown, WI. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about leading teams in a fast-paced distribution center environment and looking to grow their careers. Ellsworth Corporation, a family-run company with over 50 years of continuous growth, is a global leader in the manufacturing, distribution, and packaging of adhesives used in various industries including cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicles. The Lead Distribution Center Specialist will coordinate distribution center activities within a Business Unit, ensuring adherence to all safety guidelines and standards in a team environment, and executing operational transactions to support departmental operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related industrial experience and/or training
  • High school diploma or equivalency (GED, HSED)
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Ability to work within complex systems and processes
  • Experience in MS Office programs and Warehouse software (Latitude, P21, RF Scanner etc.)
  • Agile in identifying and making recommendations to resolve problems
  • Models and promotes self-directed work team culture
  • Proven ability to solve problems with standardized solutions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Forklift certification preferred
  • DOT Hazardous Materials certification
  • IATA certification

Responsibilities

  • Contribute transactionally to support DC performance
  • Serve as the primary contact between the team and the supervisor for daily operational needs
  • Partner with management to assess and improve team performance
  • Utilize data tools and metrics to assess and make operational decisions
  • Perform initial assessments of problems and work with internal counterparts to determine next steps
  • Coordinate department-level activities with the team and DC leadership
  • Train staff on RF Scanner and computer systems
  • Support processes to contribute to inventory accuracy
