About The Position

Lead Dispatcher Transdev in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. Our Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • High level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.
  • Other duties as required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents
  • Respond to customer and driver questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
  • Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
  • Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
  • Manage department reports and other communication tools.
  • Overseeing and providing training to personnel performing dispatch duties.
  • Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests.
  • Assist Dispatch Manager with resolving problems and requests.
  • Prioritize calls based on importance and urgency.
  • Assist with developing and communicating standard operating procedures
  • Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions.
  • Assist Dispatch Manager in accurately tracking and responding to complaints to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional wait times.
  • Other duties as required
