If you have an interest in purchasing and logistics and a desire to learn new things then this is the position for you! Hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with the possibility of an occasional opening shift between the hours of 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1+ years prior dispatching experience required
  • Well organized, strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
  • Great communication skills and the ability and desire to lead a team
  • Out of the box problem solver with a strong sense of urgency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in shipping preferred
  • Prior routing experience a plus
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge with OSHA and DOT regulations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
  • DispatchTrack, Geotab, High Jump, and Trilogy software experience preferred but willing to teach the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with drivers daily on route progress, changes, and issues
  • Assisting team with 15 DOT Drivers
  • Works along side sales team on issues, late deliveries, amendments to route, local pickups, etc
  • Communicates with customers on delivery statuses
  • Ensure material is returned to correct area
  • Maintain truck and route files for DOT compliance, IFTA compliance, company compliance
  • Supervise and coordinate truck maintenance with local providers
  • Maintain driver personnel files for compliance
  • Coordinate fleet repairs
  • Coordinate last minute additional runs via our truck or courier
