About The Position

Lead Dispatcher Transdev in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. Our Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.
Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and drive results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
High level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.
Other duties as required
Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents
Respond to customer and driver questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
Manage department reports and other communication tools.
Overseeing and providing training to personnel performing dispatch duties.
Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests.
Assist Dispatch Manager with resolving problems and requests.
Prioritize calls based on importance and urgency.
Assist with developing and communicating standard operating procedures
Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions.
Assist Dispatch Manager in accurately tracking and responding to complaints to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional wait times.
Other duties as required
Perform other related duties as assigned.
