About The Position
Residential Community Homes is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) to oversee the daily operations of a group home and ensure high-quality care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. The position involves a combination of 1st and 2nd shifts, requires the ability to work weekends and holidays, and offers full-time hours (40 hours/week) with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in the Human Services field
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and eligibility for agency insurance
- Ability to obtain required clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI if applicable)
- Willingness to complete Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid training upon hire
- Compassionate and respectful approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage daily home operations
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, families, and external partners
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and daily activity schedules
- Supporting individuals with personal care, daily routines, and community-based activities
- Monitoring medication administration and ensuring medical needs are addressed promptly
- Conducting fire drills, safety checks, and maintaining household supplies
- Coordinating transportation and maintaining communication with families and team members
- Assisting with documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and attendance records
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with agency policies and state regulations
- Supporting the Program Specialist with audits, training, and program development
