About The Position

The Lead Digital Architect for Caterpillar’s Scheduled Oil Service (SOS) platform defines and guides the technical architecture for both the existing solution and a new solution in development. The SOS platform collects and manages fluid-sampling information, and this role ensures architecture decisions support reliable sample-data capture, processing, integration, reporting, and long-term scalability. The architect represents the technical team in discussions about application functionality, system dependencies, and interactions with other Caterpillar applications, translating business and operational needs into technical direction. The role develops architecture deliverables for a Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)-based solution, applies platform capabilities across data, analytics, agents, and applications to business use cases, evaluates and deploys technologies, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions that meet business results. The position is based in Chicago, Peoria, or Dallas and requires onsite work five days per week, with up to 10% travel. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.
